Ideas shouldstay editable.

I'm Sloan Yang, an MPhil researcher exploring 2D and 3D generation—and how creative AI can preserve structure, intent, and room to play.

The point where a model stops being a black box and becomes a material you can work with.

01

2D / 3D generation

Diffusion models that can reason about visual structure, space, and how an artifact is assembled.

02

Multimodal creation

Pipelines that connect layout, sketch, language, and images instead of treating them as separate worlds.

03

Interactive media

Creative systems where models, real-time graphics, and human intent can play in the same loop.

Don't follow a fixed dream.
Follow your tools.

Understand the problem space. Understand your toolkit. Make something, learn from contact with reality, and let the direction evolve.

理解问题,也理解自己的工具箱。保持认真,但不要僵化。

Making visual ideas tangible.

Structured visual generation

Exploring models that create editable artifacts—not just the final raster, but the meaningful parts and relationships beneath it.

02 3D-aware · Interaction

Spaces for creative search

Investigating 3D-aware generation and interfaces for comparing, steering, and moving through a model's possibilities.

RiverBorn

A game project for thinking through real-time rendering, engine systems, and the small details that make a world feel responsive.

A notebook,
not a feed.

Small observations from work in progress. Useful enough to keep; unfinished enough to revisit.

Part portfolio.
Part lab notebook.
Always in motion.

I'm an MPhil student at ShanghaiTech University focused on AI-generated content. My research explores diffusion-based 2D and 3D generation for art, design, and interactive media.

Outside the lab, I like drawing, building game systems, and experimenting with Unity, Unreal, and Bevy. This site is deliberately closer to a working desk than a polished display case.
